iammeter and Huawei Smart meter get different result

I put CT of iammeter and Huawei smart meter at same place but get different result. Please tell me why. Maybe it's my misunderstood.

Hi:

These two pics show different parameters.

There are different power readings, that represent different meanings.
Let me try to explain their relationship.

Grid power

The power value on the IAMMETER`s graph is the grid power.

positive grid power means import energy from the grid.

Negative grid power means exported energy from the grid.

Grid power + inverter output power =total load power (which is called total consumption power in Huawei`s graph)

Total consumption

This means the total load power. This power reading can not be measured directly but calculated by this formula below,

Total consumption = grid power + inverter output power

It is easy understood, the load power is consist by two parts, pv output and grid power supply.
when there is no pv output(night), it is equal to the grid power supply.

Consumed from PV

This parameter is used to judge the self-use ratio of the solar pv system.

It is also a calculated parameter, not measured directly

The power value consumed from pv = inverter output power value subtracts the grid exported power value.
it is also easy to understand, the pv output minus the grid exported, the difference is the self-use.

Another question.

From the IAMMETER`s graph.

You set all three phases in the meter type of "grid"

Is your grid system three-phase?

If so , you need at least two Huawei smart meters to report the value in Huawei`s graph, yes?

One is used to measure the three-phase grid ,while another is used to measure the inverter.

Please also let me know whether the inverter is single phase or three phase?

Hi:

Thanks for your pic.

This question is very clear, as I stressed in the first replies

You indeed clamp the CT in the same position with Huawei smart meter ,but the power display in the huawei`s portal is not measured by the huawei`s meter directly ,but calculated by the power reading in huawei`s meter and the Huawei`s inverter output.

Please see the notes I added in the below pic.

The power value displayed in IAMMETER`s system is the grid power (positive: grid import power,  negative: grid export power)

They are totally different power reading, so they are not the same.

If you want to compare, please select the comparison with the same parameter.

I note there is the parameter of from grid in Huawei`s graph.

This "from grid" is equal to the parameter of grid consumption

You can compare the hourly/daily/monthly "from grid" with the corresponding hourly/daily/monthly "grid consumption" and check whether they are nearly the same.

Thank you :)

My inverter is three phase.

Hi :

By the way, you have just installed one 3phase energy meter on the grid side, which can only measure the grid import/export.
This will not show the big advantage of the solar pv monitoring system from IAMMETER-cloud(the advanced monitor UI and the corresponding reports only existed in the solar PV monitor mode)
If you want to use the solar pv mode in IAMMETER, you need to install another WEM3080T on the inverter side(to measure the solar PV output) and set it with meter type of "inverter".

Then you will find your monitor UI changed like this and more reports would appear.

https://www.iammeter.com/applications/solar-pv-system-monitoring

Please visit Solar PV monitoring system of IAMMETER-cloud to login the demo account of IAMMETER-cloud and understand all functions of solar PV monitoring

It will display different UI if you access to demo link via computer or smart phone.

You will see same UI with IAMMETER web portal if you access to the demo link by computer. You will see same UI with IAMMETER app if you access to the demo link by mobile phone. We recommend you to acccess via computer so you can see more functions and reports.

Thank you :)
