Hello, I need help. I changed my internet provider, and so my Wi-Fi network has changed! I no longer have access to my meters. I deleted everything on my Iammeter account, but I can't find my iMeter_******* on my Wi-Fi network. The red Wi-Fi LED on my iMeter meters stays on.
I don't know what to do anymore. Please help me.

Hi,

You do not need to operate you IAMMETER cloud account... .

The WiFi led of the device is on ,that means the energy meter is still connected to a WLAN, so the ap named iMeter_{Your SN} would not appear.

There are two methods to visit the local page of the energy meter

1 connect your phone or laptop to the same WLAN with the energy meter, and use this ssdp discovery method.

laptop ,https://www.iammeter.com/quickstart/wem3080t-quickstart#9-how-to-know-that-the-meter-already-connected-to-your-router

phone, enter local mode

2 power off the wireless AP which the energy meter is connected ,then the device would lose connection and enter AP mode ,the iMeter_{Your SN} would startup again. Then you can connect to it and visit HTTP://11.11.11.1

http://11.11.11.1/ is inaccessible

Why the iMeter_xxx Wi-Fi (AP) Appears

IAMMETER’s products (like other Wi-Fi devices) support two operating modes: STA mode and AP mode.

  • STA Mode (Station Mode):
When the device successfully connects to a Wi-Fi network (WLAN), it enters STA mode. In this mode:

    • The Wi-Fi LED remains on.

    • The device connects to your local network.

    • The iMeter_xxx AP (Access Point) will disappear.

    • To access the device’s web interface, your phone or PC must connect to the same WLAN as the energy meter. Then, you can use SSDP discovery to locate the device, as shown in this guide:
How to know the meter is connected to your router

  • AP Mode (Access Point Mode):
If the device fails to connect to any WLAN, it switches to AP mode. In this mode:

    • An AP named iMeter_xxx becomes visible.

    • You can connect to this AP using your phone or laptop.

    • Open a browser and go to http://11.11.11.1 to access the configuration page.

    • Here, you can enter the correct Wi-Fi credentials.

Why You Don't See the iMeter_xxx AP

As you mentioned, the Wi-Fi LED is still on, which means the device is still connected to some WLAN in STA mode. That’s why the iMeter_xxx AP does not appear.

To bring it back into AP mode, follow these steps:

  1. Find out which WLAN the device is currently connected to.

  2. Turn off that Wi-Fi router (or AP).

  3. The device will lose its connection, and after a short time, it will automatically switch back to AP mode.

  4. The iMeter_xxx AP will become visible again, allowing you to reconfigure the Wi-Fi.

Common Issue After Changing Internet Providers

If you’ve changed your internet provider and router, your laptop may not connect to the old Wi-Fi, but the energy meter might still be connecting because:

  • The old router is still powered on somewhere.

  • The new router uses a different SSID and password, so the meter can't connect to it unless updated.

To resolve this:

  • Ensure the old router is turned off.

  • Power cycle the meter or wait a few minutes.

  • Once the AP iMeter_xxx appears, connect to it and reconfigure the Wi-Fi settings.

I actually had a repeater that was always connected! THANK YOU VERY MUCH
