Hi.

Just wondering if I can go from this firmware version straight to the most recent firmware on my WEM8080 devices.  I haven't updated them since receiving the devices since they have worked well.  The only thing tempting me is the removal of the 10 minute auto-wait if the Wi-Fi loses connection to the Router/AP with the older firmwares.

and likewise this firmware on my 3080T device

I notice there's a naming convention change

for example 1.75.36@1290  vs  i.75.99 ,

So.... I want to make sure I won't break anything and also kindly ask on the new FW version, can I still call the local API directly over the LAN like I am with these older versions?

I did post under the topic stuck to the top, but it has gone unanswered.

Many thanks
Greg

Yes, you can upgrade the firmware to the latest version. The only risk is that your current version is very old and does not have the "brick protection" feature introduced in version 2.75.76. This means that if the upgrade is accidentally interrupted (although this is very unlikely), your device may become bricked and cannot be recovered unless it is returned to the factory.

OK great, so to be clear, I can direct upgrade, I don't need to upgrade to the firmware 2.75.76 first?

Will the WEM3080T Net Meter function need to be re-enabled, and can I continue to call the local API. I use this function in Home assistant

Cheers
Greg
