Would this connect via RS485? to a X1-5.0-T-N or would i need to buy a solax brand CT one?

Unfortunately, the IAMMETER product cannot connect to the Solax inverter via RS485 because the Solax inverter does not recognize IAMMETER's product as its meter.

Please let me know which platform have you used?

Solax-portal or solaxcloud?

If you use solax-portal ,you can also retrieve the data to IAMMETER like this
