Hi,

i installed my first meter, but i'm noticing reading is 230V but we are hooked up to a 3phase 380V net, so my results are not correct. is there a setting I can change to make this reading correctly?

thx

sam

Hi:

the voltage value is the phase voltage that the voltage between the live line and the neutral line.
The 380V should be the line voltage that the voltage between phase and phase.
Please let me know how do you install your energy meter, have you connected the neutral line?

Hi,

yes i connected the neutral line, i'll take a picture when i'm back in the office, so neutral could be on a phase is that what you mean?

hi,

I checked and, according to me, everything is hooked up correctly : between phases, 380, between phases and neutral 230.

how come the readings in iammeter show as 230V? because this is not correct?

the phases and neutral are connected correctly to the meter.

thank you

Hi:

The IAMMETER-cloud just shows the phase voltage in its dashboard now.
The voltage that displays in the IAMMETER system is all phase voltage.
Maybe we would consider providing an extra setting in the meter configuration later that let the user select whether to display line voltage or phase voltage.

So you are sure, the power calculation takes in consideration the 380V? not the 230? (would result in a different result i think?)

The line voltage and phase voltage are two different parameters regards to the voltage.
The formula is line voltage = phase voltage * 1.732

We select to display phase voltage here which does not mean the line voltage is not correct.

The power result will not be affected by whether we choose to display line voltage or phase voltage here.
