I have some problem with connection with one of my meters. I notice when setting it up that the antenna plug was a bit loose where it enters the cable. Sometimes this meter lose the wifi connection. What kind of antenna type and plug can I replace it with. Also, could I use a bit longer antenna cable to get a better connection? Like 2 meters?

Hi, because the plug is fixed at the shell of the box, it may get loose. But this will not affect the stability of the wifi connection.
The Wireless signal is just affected by the Coaxial line before it enters the antenna. whether the plug is installed solid at the shell will not affect the wireless signal.

If the disconnection occurs frequently, please check the wifi signal strength firstly.
Or you can replace the "problem" antenna with the normal one and check whether this problem still exists.

I did replace the antenna with a slightly longer cable to get a better connection, however, this did not solve my connection issue. The strange thing is that the Iammeter I have measuring the import/export works fine without any connection issues. They are the same length from the wifi router, but the two iammeters I have connected to the inverters, lose connection and do not connect again, typically after a day or two. I have now changed the setup in my router and assigned them a static IP address and so far this seems to work better. So if others have the same problem setting a static IP address might be the solution.

Yes, we had been reported a problem like this issue recently.
The problem is as below.
The energy meter had been allocated a IP by DHCP server when it power up.
After it run a while, the DHCP server allocated another IP to this energy meter for some reasons and then the energy meter will not report publish energy data to IAMMETER-clou until it reboot and accept the new IP successfully.
This usually occur when the energy meter connected to a mesh wifi system.
The simple method to solve this problem is fixed the IP of the energy meter from the router.
Of course ,in most wifi system, the allocated IP will not be changed after the energy meter had connected to the router, so this problem will not appear.
