Iammeter and other IoT devices

Dear Team,

I ordered one 3ph device, I had a question and I was very pleased to receive answer from your team within couple of hours. This is real customer support!!!

I wish you all the best in the new 2022 year !!!!

Now I have question, that might be helpful for many users, so I am posting it here.

Do you have in your application possibilities to connect other IoT devices? For example I believe it will be very helpful to have option to connect weather station. So we can see how weather affect the solar panels activity and also how the temperature and hummidity outside affects the consumption of the house (and again the PV productivity) ?

Also I have smart switches for water heaters and it is good to be able to see and work with all devices in one platform. Still I do not know all functions of your app and I believe this information will be helpful for other users too.

Thank you for the time and the attention!

All the best!

Vladimir

Hi Vladimir:

Thanks for your kind wishes!

It is a good suggestion that connects other IOT devices into IAMMETER. We had also done something in the last year for this aim.

This is a step by step tutorial about how to use a smart socket into IAMMETER

https://imeter.club/topic/144

You can follow this tutorial with the real socket that we install in our office.

We have planed to support more third-party (or open-source) smart sockets this year.
When you can control the smart socket, you can trigger it from IAMMETER reading automatically. We hope this close-loop can help customers to improve the self-consumption rate of their solar pv system.

Thanks again, happy new year.

Jason
